reactive dyes

Reactive dyes differ from all other textile dye categories because of the way they attach to fibers. Reactive dyes are the only dyes that form one or more covalent bonds with fibers. Therefore, these dyes have excellent fastness properties and are the right choice for applications requiring repeated washing and rubbing. Reactive dyes are easily soluble in water and adsorbed on cellulose (cotton, wool, viscose, etc.) fibers. The molecules of reactive dyes consist of a core responsible for emitting color and one or more reactive side groups responsible for forming covalent bonds with the fiber. Depending on the number of side groups and chemical structure, the method of applying the dye is different. Reactive dyes are available in 40 至 90°C 的温度下通过浴染、轧染和印花使用。考虑到适合其应用的方法,活性染料分为以下几组:

1. Low temperature dye (30-40℃)
2. Medium temperature dye (50-60℃)
3. High temperature dyes (75-90℃)
4. Printing dyes
5. Vinyl sulfonic acid dyes (suitable for printing and medium temperature dyeing)
